I passed!

After 22 agonizing days, my name is finally on breeze!!! I am an RN! :) My advise to those waiting in ca is to call the bon. It may have just been a coincidence, but I called this morning and my name finally appeared tonight. I am beyond relieved right now. To everyone still waiting, believe in yourself.

As far as study tips: I love Saunders. I didn't make it to the end of the book this time, but it really helped me to understand content. Kaplan questions are very similar to nclex question. Also, the screen looks exactly the same, which helped me a little with the anxiety. I didn't find the Kaplan online review helpful at all though. Also, if you work full time and it is at all possible, take at least a week off of work before the test. I found this incredibly helpful.

Okay, a bit long, but I am SO happy right now. Being able to come on the site and know I wasn't alone has been wonderful. Good luck to all of you future nurses out there. Don't ever give up.

Congrats! I can't imagine waiting 4 weeks. The 48-72 hours we have to wait in Alabama is long enough.

Its day 16 for me and so far no word from CABON. Someone I know took the test Mon and today her name was on Breeze. I called CABON to inquire and after a 20 min hold the operator basically shut me down and said it takes 4 weeks to get the results. My friend who's name just posted on Breeze was with me and even offered to speak to the operator but ALAS she again shut us down and kept saying " we always hear this complaint that they know someone who got their names posted within days of taking the test, its just not possible blah bl;ah blah". Incredibly annoying and sad.

That's horrible 13grad71. There really doesn't seen to be any order in which they process peoples licenses. Some of the operators at the bon are really mean too. Don't give up hope. I hope you see your name on the board very soon.

Hi ellie. Congrats on passing. I am going thru the same stuff now. I took my test friday aug 22 and have called the board twice in the past week with no help. I was just wondering, u said that you saw the active RN at night. Do you know what time they update their system? I thought it was just once at midnight. Thanks. I keep pushing refresh with the same ending results. I got the good pop up and according to a BRN employee "the PVT is correct"

I don't know when they update their system but it is sometime between 8 am (when I called the bon) and 11 pm (when I finally saw my name). There is no where on the site that tells you when they update, which was incredibly frustrating. Don't give up hope. The PVT is almost always right. Good luck.
