professional help! :bugeyes:If any of you knew me you would know how true that is..
This may be taken as " asking someone to do this for me" but I am willing to ask it anyway..
I need a good head to toe breakdown.. I find I get flustered and forget to do some of the basics.. I tried to organize a cheat sheet of sorts but I still forget things. I am so focused on getting the paperwork that is due I forget to do basic things like cap refill and peripheral pulses .. YIKES
Does anyone have a good guide they use on the floor to keep it together? if I have offended anyone I apologize ..

I know that you can't PM me back but I sent you some "cheat sheets" that may help you.
Always remember to breathe!
Take a deep breath in and slowly let it out when you are feeling overwhelmed. AND most important when you feel panicked.....Take your own pulse first........it will help you to take that moment and clam yourself down to focus.
Good Luck!:paw:
Ilove that Eleanor roosevelt quote.. THANKS SOO Much for the info! and once I complete studying for this test I plan on looking at these!
means the word to me that some nurses still want to help.. in clinical alone it has not always been the case..
When I am a nurse.. I vow to NOT be that nurse .. I will not succumb to the addage " the only profession where the old eat their young"
Sweetie....those who don't want to help can't because they actually don't know themselves. Only the truly starved for affection ones take a bite now and then......remember there are more who care and want to help.
Ask me any thing anytime I may not always know the answer but I will try to lead you to the right path.
Good Luck!

The only thing I recommend is literally going from head to toe. Start at the head- fontanels and head circumference if it's a child. Pupils, hearing, eyes sight, eye movement, speech patterns, tongue/teeth, look in the mouth, feel the neck, etc. Work your way all the way down to pedal pulses and capillary refill in the toes. Just touch on everything as you go down the body and you won't miss a step.
Thank you to all who have posted!
I know I can do this.. I just need to believe it.. old dog new trick here!
