I need help

Published

I'm trying to get in to a cna training program. I took the red cross entrance exam, but i'm also going to go the the local job bank because they help you with career training. But i'm scared. I'm scared that i'm going to be horrible, that i'll fail the training program, or noone will ever hire me. My whole family and my boyfriend and his family are all 100% supportive of me. they all keep telling me that i'm going to be an awesome cna, and since i want to become a nurse that i'd be an awesome nurse since in high stress situations i don't freak out, i just get to work and make sure everything gets done and it's done right. My mom has been telling me for years since I was a little girl that i should become a nurse. But i'm terrified that i'm going to screw this up, cause i'm really good at screwing things up. I could really use some advice and a friendly person to talk to.

Dear,

Why would you think so negatively of yourself? If your loved ones believe in you 100%, then so should you. In fact, you should have faith in yourself 200%! Think about it, if you, the person that your friends and family are rooting for, doesn't have a single ounce of trust in herself, then who would believe in you? You should love yourself first and be confident that you will do great in the program. I've never met you, but I think you will do an amazing job. Don't put silly, negative things on your head because the more you do, the more they're most likely to happen. Look at things on the bright side, with a smile. Because you are a lucky person you know. You have people who love you and are there for you. You are on your way to achieving your dreams so why be sad? And to think that you're not in nursing school yet. Wait 'til you get there-- you'll encounter more disappointing stuff. But until then, relax, STOP thinking about screwing up (because you will attract it to you if you constantly do) and enjoy your awesome life. ;)

Have a great day and smile! :)

p.s. I BELIEVE IN YOU

i don't know you, but thank you for your kind words. I took my midterm in my cna training class today, and i got a 100 on it. And every quiz we've taken, I've just made sure that i studied and did my homework and i've gotten good grades on everything. I'm not just passing my class. I'm excelling in my class. and i know that i'm going to be a great cna, no matter what kind of facitlity i work at, because i care about what i'm doing and i know that i can do it. thank you for believing in me.
