I Need Help!

I've wondered the same thing--well not in particular about Molloy College but other local colleges in my area that are easier and quicker to get in and you finish your ADN/BSN faster than the state colleges. I almost jumped the gun when I heard about a college advertising a brand new ADN program. I asked my mom who has been in the practice for nearly 40 years and she told me that really it boiled down to a nurse passing NCLEX and the being licensed in the state but that was just her opinion. When I researched further I found out that the schools I was looking at were NOT accredited colleges and this bothered me. I had a problem spending that much money going to a school that wasn't accredited. Some of them are waiting for accreditation from their first graduating classes etc...but I would be skeptical about it. You have every reason to weary about the schools name but do your research on the school before you commit...i.e. what's the NCLEX pass rate, rate of hire etc...and if you share my fears find out if the college is in fact accredited. To me, and keep in mind this is just my personal opinion, what's the point of receiving a degree from a school that isn't technically a school to begin with right? And I decided to wait and take my chances with the CC that is well known and has a reputable nursing program in my area. Hope that helps!
