Hello, I need help from anyone PLEASE! I am a nursing student persuing my BSN Degree, I was supposed to graduate this May but unfortunately I was dismissed from the school of Nursing because I failed two courses with a grade of 74 on both. I have applied to every university I can possibly remember here in my area and no one will accept me with this backgroud. What can I do? Will this be the end of my Nursing Career? All I needed were the last two courses of my program to complete the BSN. I had already retaken the other ones and passed. I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! I AM DESPERATE, DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. Will I have to start all over again?.....Ally08

I'm sorry for whats happening to you. Keep your head up, and don't give up.
This is a exactly why I've decided to get my LPN, then RN-BSN.
I know of so many people this has happened to, and if God forbid I did fail out of the RN-BSN, at least I'll still be able to gain experience and a decent income while waiting to take the course again.
Well, maybe you can sit for your LPN license ? At my CC, those who completed 2 semesters of the RN program can sit for the PN license.
If not, still don't give up. You can do it. I know it hurts, but defeat is never an option.

Have you spoken with your counselor at school? Can you retake those classes? Why won't anyone else accept you? I don't understand when you say you have retaken the other ones and passed? Did you flunk, retake everything, and still flunk those two?
If truly no one will accept you, and you cannot retake the classes, then I guess you will have to start over. I would then suggest applying to a community college, preferably one with a bilevel program. Meaning that the first year of nursing school you get your LPN certification, and the next year you get your RN. Then you could bridge over into an RN to BSN program, if you wished to continue on.

the fact that you said you have already "retaken and passed the other classes" caught my eye too. was this your second go in the nursing program? i know that at the college i am trying to get into, you have one chance to be re-admitted. if you fail that second time, you are done pursuing nursing at their university.
if that's the case for your school (take a look at the nursing student handbook if you haven't already), then yes, you will need to start all over again. if you are still unsure of what to do, talk to a nursing advisor at your school. ask him/her what they think your future options are and for advice on what to do.
good luck.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR ADVICE, IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO RE-APPLY AS YOU SAID. WHEN I FAILED THOSE TWO CLASSES THEY GAVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO RE-TAKE THEM AND I PASSED, BUT NOW I GOT A LETTER IN THE MAIL SAYING THAT THEY HAD MADE A MISTAKE AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE NEVER TAKEN THE SECOND CLASS AGAIN BECAUSE IN MY SCHOOL YOU CAN ONLY FAIL ONE NURSING COURSE. AND THAT IS WHY I WAS DISMISSED WITH MY TWO CLASSES THAT I FAILED AND PASSED AGAIN. ALLY
