it continually amazes me that patients are not assisted in getting picc care and supplies arranged by professionals inserting device.!!

a. check your insurance companies website for a list of providers , search under hospitals and other health care providers, look for drop down box to locate home health/iv infusion or other ancillary providers ---or give them a call--member services usually listed on back of insurance card

b. national providers:

apria - services - infusion therapy

wallgreens option care infusion therapy

about infusion therapy - nhia

Essentially, these need to be ordered by your provider. The supplies are usually delivered with your meds.

Isn't someone coming to your home to set you up?

I am confused!!

Thank you soooo very much!!! I have been at a loss for what to do. I had to move to the area to start treatment & got down here now, and no one to help me, because I am not from here. They simply say if you are not disabled we cant come the house. Meaning "homebound" they said. To go to a medical supply place. God Bless.

You do NOT need to be homebound to get in-home IV therapy. This should have all been prearranged. Call the provider who got this all started, and ask them who will be bringing your meds and supplies.

Or where you need to go to get your outpatient IV therapy in a clinic setting.

Your doctor's office should have cleared all this first.

Best wishes!
