Please can someone help me. My friend told me that we have a case study due and I didn't know anything about it.
I have a few ideas about it but I just want to make sure that my thinking is on the right tract
The 88 year old ambulatory nursing home resident has had a long history of constipation and diverticulosis. She is endentulous and refuses to eat anything but pureed foods. She is underweight and prefers to eat sweets. She says that when she eats a regular meal she feels bloated. Her fluid intake is limited because of chronic renal failure.
1. Describe how you might mange her chronic constipation
2. Describe how you would increase her caloric intake without increasing the volume of the food she consumes
3.Describe how to prevent aspiration and regurgitation in a patient with dysphagia
Thanks for any insight!!!!!
