Erwin Tech Center on Hillsborough & 22nd Ave has the LPN program. There is probably a waiting list there as well. It doesn't hurt to try.

Good luck!

Erwin (http://www.erwintech.org) has an LPN program, but won't be taking applications until spring 2005. They fill the classes by lottery, so you apply and then wait to see if you are chosen. It's a real crap shoot.

There's a private school in St. Pete called the Health INstitute of Tampa Bay. You should be able to get in there right away. It's expensive, but they will walk you through the financial aid process. The phone # is 727-577-1497.

HCC does not have a waiting list. You apply, and are either accepted or not. If you don't get in, you have to apply again. The GPA cutoff for fall semester was 3.6.

Once you have the LPN you can do the transition to RN at HCC or SPC, or do an online course like Excelsior.

Good luck.
