I Need Advice

Published

I'm a first year college student but I have just about all of my pre recs because I took a few through out high school. During the spring semester I transferred to a community college for convenience and took up the nurse aid class that was offered. I passed the class and the clinical with an A along with the state written test. However, I failed my state clinical by making a silly mistake. For this upcoming fall semester I want to transfer back to a university. My overall goal its to become a nurse practitioner is it necessary for me to retake the state test to go that route at a university? Do I need to be state certified as a nurse assistant to attend a university and hopefully be apart of their BSN program? I would just retake the state test but i'm not financially stable enough to do so anytime soon but I also do not want this to prohibit me from moving any further towards the program. Please help!

The requirements are set by individual schools in most cases. You'll have to investigate the admissions requirements of the programs you are interested in applying to.

Thank you so much.
