I need some advice...

Hi everyone,

I am currently a freshman in college and I am in Anatomy & Physiology 1 here at my college. I have been struggling with the course (C-). I can only really see my grade going down hill and withdrawal period ends on Monday. I plan to leave the college at the end of the semester because I don't like it here. (I miss home, lonely, sad, etc.) I was told that I may as well stay in A&P even if I get a D or F rather then withdraw because she said if/when I retake it at a community college the next college I apply to won't really mind that grade.

I'm nervous that a D or F in A&P will deny me admission to any colleges nursing programs even if I do re-take it elsewhere and pass. What do you think...should I stay in the class and face failing or should I withdraw from the class?:confused::confused::confused:

Are there any positives to staying in the course? I would withdraw. A "D" or an "F" will most certainly hurt you and your transcript is written in stone-the grade will never be removed and the transcript will always need to be submitted to any educational institution you apply to FOREVER.

So, I suppose I better withdraw...

Maybe some other students have some advice.

In all honesty, your transcript is worse than a tattoo. It is possible to remove a tattoo. It is next to impossible to remove a bad a grade.

Stay in the class, face your weakness. You don't have to go somewhere because you fail what if you'll fail again to another school? Then you will be wasting your time and money transferring from different school just because you fail. I see that you missed your family a lot and maybe that's one of the reason you're not concentrated and keep on failing.

So, this will be my advice... Just adapt with the current situation and you'll be fine like try to be independent, find friends in your school then make your self busy on your studies so your mind will be diverted from being alone. I hope it'll work :coollook:
