I need advice...

I'm 29 years old and I'm very passionate about proceeding to go to school and become RN. At this point I don't any previous hospital or medical experience. I'm planning to start school in spring of 2011 but meanwhile I have strong pull to find work at hospital. I would love to get anything that will allow me to be in hospital surroundings. I don't want to waste my time on working at grocery store or anywhere that will be in no future use to me. I can't concentrate on anything else but job in medical field. Is there anything I can do right now to get myself in, do you have any pointers that can help me look in certain direction? I have current food handlers card, I have previous experience of working with many people, I care a lot about others and I'm hoping for a chance to do what I believe in.

I would look into long term care facilities as well maybe? With the current job market I would apply in whatever capacity you are qualified (whether it is in food service, etc.) at local hospitals and long term care. It might be a good way to get your foot in the door. Good luck!

Volunteer.. you are considered a technical employee and get first crack at jobs that you are qualified for once they post because you see internal postings. If you do not have a CNA already get one because the CNA/PCT jobs are the ones you want.
