I need some advice

I recently was offered a positon as a PCT on an ICU unit in a different hospital. I am ecstatic to say the least, however I do not know how to confront my Nurse Manager about switching to per diem. I really do not know how to approach him or if I should even mention the new job. Input in gladly appreciated. :typing

i just went through the same thing...as a nurse. i just went in to my adon and told her that i'd like to go perdiem....no problem, filled out a paper that stated my request and was asked if i could work 2 weeks, which i will, and done!! i didn't even tell her the reason for the request.
