I got into the CNA course!!

:balloons: :) I'm so happy...I just got a letter from the Community College informing me of my acceptance to the CNA program for summer term. I have been waiting to hear from them for months, and they only accept ten people. I got more nervous when I heard they accept nursing students over non-nursing students, and I'm just a high school senior. They gave me so much trouble with every step because of my age (16), making me talk to a million different people, giving them extra letters of recommendation that no one else has to submit, etc. And I feel really great that I got in. I know it's not a nursing program, but it's the first step and I'm so excited!!!!

Congratulations! You will learn so much as a CNA. I worked as a CNA my senior year in high school as well. I used the money I made for college. However, I pursued a bachelors degree in education and then realized I would have rather been a nurse since I loved my CNA job. So, here I am about to enter a part time LPN program to pursue the job "I really wanted to do".

Good luck in your studies. I'm sure you will enjoy every minute of it.

Take Care,

Marci

Congratulations!! That is fantastic! Good luck in your studies. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I'm waiting to get my letter from the state (NJ) so I can take the state exam for a CNA/PCA. I am a nursing student and need a job that will be flexible with hours. I found out that if you have at least N1 clinicals behind you in my state you don't have to take the course, just the state exam.

Good luck to you!

Congrats and good luck.

That's awesome! Good luck to you!
