I am going crazyyyyy

:confused:. I AM SOOOO CONFUSED YOU GUYS. THIS IS NOT EXACTLY WHAT I BARGAINED FOR WHEN I WENT TO NURSING SCHOOL. 90 DAYS AT HOME AND NO JOB???. lol. I am having the hardest time getting a job. i have a year of nursing, a BSN and a BA in health and human services and currently reside in ny and i am not even getting calls back for interviews.

I AM TRYING TO USE HUMOR AND LAUGH ABT IT BUT THERE IS NOTHING FUNNY ABT BEING A JOBLESS NURSE AND LETTING UR CLINICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WASTE AWAY.

I AM ALSO USING RELIGION AND MY FAITH AS A CHRISTIAN SAYING "GODS TIME IS THE BEST" BUT HOW LONG WILL I WAIT. I AM ABT TO MAKE A DRASTIC DECISION AND MOVE TO TEXAS WITH NO MONEY BUT IM CURRENTLY WAITING FOR A JOB OFFER.

ANYBODY KNOW ANY RECRUITER IN THE NYC AREA, OR CLOSE TO ANYONE IN THE HOSPITAL PLEASE I NEED SOME KIND OF CONNECTION?. EVEN IN TEXAS, I WILL APPRECIATE ANYTHING. EVEN WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT, ANYTHING WILL BE APPRECIATED.:)

In addition, how can i follow up on my resumes and my application and really be persistent and beg for a job without sounding whiny or weak?

    As a heads up, find out what your background check may reveal, maybe there's a mistake or confusion with someone of a similar name. Did you leave on pleasant terms with your last manager? Are you asking for too much money? And if you really want answers, ask a mentor/friend with hiring manager experience to "interview" you. [Here in lovely TX we have an agency called GroupOne. Scary if there's a mistake.]

    Thank you. i will see if we have that here. my background check is clean as a whistle, i have an african name which is definitely not popular. i think its like 6 of us with the same last name in the NYS as RN.:) left my old job on perfect terms, i even use my old boss for reference. I dont ever specify salaries, because i dont know what has been budgeted for my position. I am thinking maybe my resume or ??????.. :confused:.
