I can't get a job!

Hi, I just moved in Burlington North Carolina from Rock Hill South Carolina. I am so desperate!. I need a CNA job bad, but it seems that nobody is hiring in this area. I almost applied to all LTC facilities in Burlington area. I don't know whats' goin on? Is it me or the CNA field?

This never happens to me. In the past, everytime I applied, I got hired.

please advice!!!!!!!!!

I don't know too much about Burlington, NC. But if you have an option I will move to a city where there are more job opportunities like Charlotte,NC. I live in Charlotte and there are lots of CNA job. Again your situation might not allow you to move out of Burlington but good luck. If I find any Info concerning Job there I will post it for you.

I don't know if a commute is doable or not, but maybe you could make the drive to Durham and work at Duke. It isn't a bad drive..a little over a half hour. Good luck.

What about Greensboro?

I tried too, nobody is hiring there. I submitted a lot of resume everywhere. From Burlington, Greensboro and even Chapel Hill.. I really don't want to change career because I'm really good in this field. Day and night I'm on the computer lookin, but so far nothing has really offered me a job!I really don't know what to do....huh...huh..huh....If this facilities only knew how hard working and dependable Am I... They would love me!!!All they have to do is call my references and give me a chance to show that I'm worthed. I made a follow up every 3 days but I think they have avoided me...huh..huh...huh...

What about Greensboro?

Go anaboom! go!

I like it when u mentioned that "you hope that the facility know how worthy you are and u do not want to change field because you are good at the job!

It is a selffulfilling and I am glad you knew your self I have felt that way before. You will be a good nurse! Nothing can stop you to be a good caregiver.

Thanks. Yeah! you are right. Nothing should stop me, I've been a caregiver for past 4 years. I have always worked in LTC, because I love the elderly residents. I feel like they need me. Even if sometimes my work schedule conflicts with my personal life, I have always set aside my personal time just for my residents. I can't say no to "work"

if they need me for any reason. I've never felt like this before, this feeling is extremely different, fulfilling and rewarding! I can't explain it with words! I love this job, I love taking care of people. I like to be there for them.

There are ads in the Greensboro paper for CNA's. Try Asheboro too.

If you like working with the elderly, how about the VA Hospital here in Durham?

The drive from Burlington to Durham really isn't that bad.

Send your Resume to [email protected]. I will send it to HR. I work for Life Line Screening and I can see if there is anything available.

Not sure if you're interested in working for an agency or not, but Bayada and Maxim Healthcare have ads on Careerbuilder for CNA's in Burlington. May be a good opportunity for you to get your foot in the door somewhere.

Good luck to you. I hope you find something soon.
