Hey all. Earlier today I took my first test and failed by 5 points of the minimum score of passing. I studied the material presented, read all pertinent info, did end of chapter questions, and watched supplemental videos to make sure I understood the information. I didn't attempt to do what so many others did which was trying to do last second studying while on break. I wasnt nervous at all; I was quite comfortable. When we got them back, I'd initially missed 9 out of 30. When we did group review, I changed 3 answers (one I actually had right initially). When we turned the answer sheet back in and it was re graded, I only gained 7 points and still failed. Im so discouraged right now. We have 2 more tests, one being the final. I can't afford (literally) to be at the bottom of the points range going into the (cumulative) final because we all know it is the difference between passing and moving on, or failing and having to repeat the class. Im only 1 of about 6 nurses in the class and its embarrassing. Im not and have not had my sights on high 90's for the class; im comfortable staying between 85 and 92 because it keeps your average high enough to where if you bomb the final, you will still pass the class with a low B or high C. Im just really really discouraged right now because I'd thought I would do much better. Now, I have to get ready ti go to work shortly in this funky mood.

Hey there lady... Don't be discouraged. I bombed my Micro first exam with a 62... and came back with a 92 after.... It was quite a downer for me as well being a nurse but hey, I am good I am working hard to do better. Good luck!
Thanks. Its been a few days since I posted this so I'm ok now. I emailed my instructor to see if he would be open to me videoing the lectures. I gotta change my study techniques to be successful. Success is the name of the game! I appreciate the encouragement!
