I am on the edge......

I am looking for any advice that anyone can give me on how to do well with my exams. I have a foundations exam coming up next week and if I DO NOT MAKE AT LEAST A 75 I WILL FAIL THE COURSE. I have tried studying for hours and hours days at a time and the only payoff I was able to get off of doing that was a 74 in my last exam. Also, I studied for hours and hours for about 8 days before a patho exam and only managed to get a 78, while other people "only studied during the weekened" and got As. Clearly, I am doing something wrong. Any advice??????????? It will be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Did you see your professor shortly after doing poorly on your first exam? The best advice one can give anyone is to see your professor(s) promptly after any exam for which you didn't do as well as you expected (even if that means you passed, but didn't pass with a grade you wanted). Bring your notes, the book, and go over the exam. Ask for rationales as to why right answers are right, and why wrong answers are wrong. Do be open sharing why you picked what answer so your instructor can go over your thought process with you. Do show your professor your notes, and ask if they recommend taking notes differently. Do ask them what they recommend you do differently next time.

Teach the material back to a friend in class. If you can teach it correctly, you'll do well on the test.
