Hurst Review

I would love to hear more about the Hurst review program. Anyone use it before? What did you like about it? What did you not like about it? Do you think it helped you feel prepared and/or succeed on the NCLEX exam?

Thank you for any and all input!

LOVED Hurst. I knew i was weak on content and Hurst gave me that strength. I wish they would go in depth with other diseases but majority of the stuff I got from Hurst was on my NCLEX which is lucky for me. Passed with 75 questions :D Most my friends who took Hurst so far has passed but Hurst didn't really focus too much on medications. Just be sure to cover the things Hurst doesn't.

Hello Kdoolay, I have read all your threads so I really like the way you study for NCLEX. I'm also studying for NCLEX. I would like to know how you study for medications. You mentioned in one of your thread the Mosby's note book. I wanna know about if this is Mosby's small memory notebook. Thanks

Hello kdoolay, ADN! Thank you for the post! Have you heard of or taken Kaplan, do you prefer the Hurst approach?! I think I am feeling more and more confident with Hurst. I tried contacting Kaplan to see what their pass rate is as Hurst has a 98.6% and they said they do not keep track of that (which was a red flag for me!). Thanks again and congrats on passing in 75!! :)

I used both. I really don't think I could have passed without one or the other. Hurst taught me content and Kaplan taught me how to critically think and use test-taking strategies to pick the best answer. & thank you! GOOD LUCK TO YOU :D

Yes! That is the one! I really liked it! But I also made sure to focus on the prefix-suffix of common medications their common side effects AND adverse effects.

Thanks Kdoolay,

I'm using this notebook and find it helpful.í ½í±
