Humber College BN Program Fall 2018 Start

Hi. I am also starting in Sept 2018 for the RN program.

Uncertain about some things!!

Congrats on your new journey and I'll see you at Humber. I am also a mature student going back to school. Been out of college since 2011. I choose humber because I've heard so many good things about the nursing program and they start clinical in the first year. It's very close to where I live so that was a plus for me.

I choose this program because I've always wanted to do something in health/med by helping others , building a relation with patients and I thought the RN program was my best fit. When should I compete my CPR training or police check? I have no idea...

When will we receive our weekly time table?

What group of classes did you choose? If I may ask?

Hey there! All information regarding the Clinical Requirements are on this page! I believe we can do the CPR and First Aid stuff as soon as now if you'd like, but the Medical Testing are supposed to be done closer to clinicals. The info should be on the Medical Requirement PDF for First Years which is on that page linked above.

Also, I chose Block D. And you?

Did you register for orientation? I did and can't wait

I was going to choose Block A as well but was too indecisive to which schedule would work better for me. By the time I logged on again, I was left with Blocks C and D. lol

Yes, I'm going to orientation as well! I'm pretty excited and want to make the most out of college this time around. :)

Omg. Honestly I looked at all the schedules and I liked block A with Anatomy and physiology on Mondays to start my week.

Do you know if we will wear scrubs in first semester? What's the dress code for humber nursing students?

I am a bit nervous but excited.

Just normal clothes lol. I don't think they will require scrubs until clinicals or labs. We should find out more on the first day/orientation. Btw, there is a Facebook group for Nursing Class 2022 on Facebook. Just found it today and there are a few members already. Thought you might wanna check it out.
