How will grading work if i take anatomy at two different schools?

I just took anatomy at my local community college and got a D. I'm already planning on retaking it, but i want to transfer to another school to take it. Will the 2 grades average together even from two different schools, or will one replace the other? or will both of them just show up on my records?

They'll both show up on your records and be part of your cumulative GPA. How a nursing school uses them depends on the school.some only care about the highest, some look at all attempts.

Also, ask your advisor about their retake policy. Some schools (like mine) will replace failing grades with the higher passing grade and the failing grade will not show on your official transcript because they only count the highest grade. Then when applying to your nursing school, only the good grade will be on your transcript. If you take it at a different school that is not part of your CC district of schools (not all CCs have consortiums with other schools, but mine does) then the poor grade and the passing grade will be on your transcript for the program you apply to to see. Basically, try to get the grade replaced at the current school so that the nursing programs you apply to wont even know you got a failing grade.
