HI everyone, I am currently attending a private lvn school in Irwindale,California (premiere career college) . I am 19 almost 20 with no college experience and I live by myself. I am eager to finish school and I want to be at the top of my career while im still young. I was wondering if anyone could help me with information on different type of schools/programs that I can get into for my Rn License. I have a tough time trying to get information about how I can get my Rn once I finish with my lvn.

First of all my Grad date is Nov 2010. Once I finish I would like to find a job so i can have experience with me and to pay off my loan. At the same time though I want to get my Rn. This is the part where i get confused hehe. Ive looked online to find different lvn to Rn schools but im not sure how it works. Do I need to get my associates first in order to move on from my lvn? I hear there are waitlists for lvn to rn programs so I wouldnt mind to jump into another private school if there are any.

Once you get your LPN, most community colleges have LPN to RN program. The program I am familiar with it is one year part time ( evenings ) or 9 months full time. You still need to complete all the preresiquites for the program, it would be good if you did them in the year after you graduate and get some experience.

There maybe LPN to BSN programs too, best of luck.
