How to study for CPNRE???

I am not sure why previous threads said the CPNRE exam prep guide is not useful, others have recommended it and said the CD-ROM practice questions were helpful.

Yes, Mosby's comprehensive review of practical nursing for the NCLEX-PN has been recommended as a resource.

The CPNRE predictor test has also been recommended.

I know there is a prep guide, but I've read on previous threads that the prep guide is not useful. Is that still true? Also, is the NCLEX-PN an appropriate study guide? Is it equivalent to he CPNRE? I still have my Saunders Comprehensive Review for RNs that I studied from to pass the NCLEX . Would it still be a helpful resource to prepare me for CPNRE? Thanks!

I found the prep guide extremely useful. I had the Mosby's book and it was too American for part of the exam, lab values, drug names, etc. It is good for the knowledge type questions but I would NOT use it as my only study guide.

The exam is the aimed at the basic entry to practice level of education. For you I would focus on what the LPN's role is and the ethics type questions.

You could even call in to CLPNA and see what they are recommending.

I wish I had thought of that before. . .I left Edmonton last Monday. I've ordered the study guide already.
