How does NCLEX work?

Published

I will be graduating in December, and have to take the HESI test through my school, but no one has explained the NCLEX to us. I have heard we have the option to take the test monthly or it is only offered once every six months. Is there a website that explains the proccess at all?

NCLEX is a requirement if you want to work as a RN in the US. It can be taken most days as long as the center participates in NCLEX as not all do. Check out the NCSBN website and you will find much info about the exam. Questions will vary from min 75 to max 265 if RN and slightly different for PN. Also depends on BON as if you fail (don't do into exam thinking that) will have to wait 45 -90 days.
