Hello all, I have been asked by an infusion company to create patient education materials such as brochures or pamphlets, for their lines or pumps. They want to know how much would it cost for me to do this for them? Can someone give me a range or ballpark as to how much one typically charges for this type of work? Thank you.

Is this a large company? Is it to be used solely in your unit/hospital, or will it be info that they distribute widely? Will they own the rights to the material once you create it? Or will you be holding the rights and giving them a set number of copies to use? Lots of factors play into the cost I would think.
It's a small company starting out. They would own the rights to the materials once I create them. They would post the materials on their website for any to see. What do you think a ballpark range should be? Are there any liability factors I should consider? Thank you.

Can you estimate the number of hours it would take to create these materials, including any revisions? Multiply that times the hourly rate you have received in the past as an educator. That seems very fair.
