How long to get an answer??

Hi yall. i took my test on the 21st of this month and, to this day, im sad to say my name isnt up on the BON website. my question is, how long do they take to send you the dreaded "YOU FAILED" letter?? i know the website says 2 to 4 weeks but is it more 2 or more 4 weeks? sorry for the ranting, im just really stressed out right now. thanks

Which BON are you with and have you contacted them to see if any letters have been sent?

Im out of CA. i didnt know that we could call them to ask if they have sent out any letters. i will try to do that on monday. thanks

Ca in general take more that 10 days to post results and some have even posted they didn't get results until after 4 weeks and passed and then saw their name on the site.

really?? i thought that if your name wasnt on the bon website within 2 business days that you pretty much failed. unless of course that some type of paperwork is missing for you. how often does that really happen where someone doesnt find out until 4 weeks later. i would really like to hear it from someone who went through that. thanks for the replies.

Some have posted just have a search. You also need to think of the foreign nurses as they will not see their name on site until they provide a SSN. Ca do their own assessment of exam results so can take a lot longer before seeing name on site. DO not always believe that if not on within 2 days then you have failed. Not always seeing name on site does it mean you have failed

Ca BRN does things differently than any other state. They will also permit you to test before they even have a completed file on you if you attended school in CA.

Average wait time is ten days before you see your name up. Earliest that we have seen has been three days, until recently, when a few have posted that they saw their name in two days. But this definitely not the case.

Very rarely does someone see their name in two business days, CA has a human review your file when they receive the results from Pearson-Vue, and then things go from there.

What we do advise it to wait for two weeks, if you do not see your name posted by then, and provided that you have a SSN#, that is when you should phone them to follow up on your file, but not before.

There is not much else that you can do and they never, ever give results over the phone, they are legally not permitted to do so.
