How Long Does Ga Take To Post RN License?

Updated:   Published

I took my NCLEX-RN today at noon and was done by 1 pm. I wonder how long it takes for the RN license number to post on the GA BON. In the event I passed, of course? Can anyone please share their experiences?

Ten years ago, it took 12 days for my license to post. Of course, my exchange with the licensing analyst at the Ga BON was one for the record books over some preceptorship hours back then because of my non-traditional ASN program. I won the battle, but they took the war by making me wait forever and a day for my license. However, having already held an LPN license for 24 years, I had nothing but time to wait them out.:smokin:

Hopefully, you won't have that experience.

WOW! BSN be Done. I pray I don't have that experience. Hopefully, it will be tomorrow or Wednesday. Fingers crossed?

I'm just here for the comments, LOL. I'm literally in the same boat. I took my NCLEX today & my job is in GA.

Hopefully, we find out soon.

Millie13, how many questions did you get? Did you get a lot of SATA? I got 60 questions and only 1 SATA.

60 questions. I had about 10 SATA. I also got my license this morning! Check the GA BON website because I didn't get a notification or anything.

The board emailed me earlier today and informed me I did not pass. I will do better the second time. I only studied 4 hrs a day, five days a week. My wife told me to learn 8 hrs daily, six days a week like she did. I thought that was ridiculous, especially since I finished my program with honors. My wife is an RN and passed NCLEX her first attempt. Needless to say, I'm not having a good day at home with Mrs? Live and Learn.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you.

You'll do better next time! I did the same thing as your wife. It was exhausting but worth it, I guess.

To answer my question, it takes 24 hrs after passing the NCLEX to see one's new RN license number in Georgia. I took my test on Monday and was notified by GA that I failed 21 hrs later. Millie13 also tested on Monday and saw her new RN license number the following business day. Thanks for visiting this post, everyone.
