How does everyone like A&P I

So far I am loving A&P, but it is definitely alot of work. I think the reason I like A&P so much is because of my instructor. He has been great. The labs have really helped me learn and understand better. I hope everything gets better for you. Well I am going back to studying for my first test!

I hear you! Going back to school is hard at any age. I started taking courses a couple of years ago towards a nursing degree; I'll be 51 when I graduate. I wonder sometimes what I was thinking! I'm assuming that this is what a mid-life career change is supposed to feel like!

But please don't give up on this. A&P is necessary, of course, and it can be hard. But it is doable. Part of the coursework, especially in the lab, is preparation; your professor wants to make sure you learn, not just memorize. The only piece of advice I can give is to keep on top of the reading. Follow the syllabus; read the material before class and take notes, so that when you hear the lecture it's already something you're somewhat familiar with. That way, you can really pay attention in class. Then, after class, review your notes and the textbook and let it all sink in.

Good suggestions here! I would have to agree, and add just one thing: focus on the goal. Whenever I feel like slacking, I just think about why I'm putting myself through all this. The prize is worth all the frustration and tears. I'm loving A and P right now, but it's a ton of information all at once. I'm also trying to make sure I'm actually learning the material, and not storing it in the short memory bank. Easier said than done.
