How do you decide on where to go?

Everyone travels for a different reason and everyone has a different set of priorities in what they look for in a contract. I'm curious as to what dictates which assignments you take? For me, I'm traveling to see a specific set of cities so I'm trying to go through the list and get an assignment in each city. Because of this, sometimes I've taken a bit of a pay cut to go somewhere. But anyways, what does it take for you to decide on where to go?

Having a bucket list is great, but if you are planning to travel for some time you can try deferring those locations until the pay is also good. That won't work for every location, and some may come up so infrequently that you have to grab them immediately of course.
