Starting Spring '08 semester every California community college requires a test before beginning the nursing program, so just expect it if you haven't already been accepted.
Hi there,
can you please tell me more about this test. I'm applying to my community college in October for Spring 2008 and they didn't tell me anything about a test.
What test would it be? The NET?
Thanks.

Hello, I just graduated from that program a year ago. The program is very good and it has a great reputation. Alot of the instructors are very strict though. You really have to stay on your toes at the school in order to do a good job. There are a lot of ways that you can fail the program. 1. Not passing any class with a percentage of 75 and above 2. not passing the careplans or competencies on the third try 3. If an instructor feels that you are not ready to move on to the next step even if you are getting good grades and passing all care plans and competencies. I am not trying to discourage you from applying for the program but just know that it is very challenging and a lot of students end up failing the program and either coming back or going to another school. I made it through the program thankfully, but it was not easy. I learned a lot though and I passed the NCLEX on the first try, so it is definetely worth it.

I'm almost done w/my pre-reqs. Yay! Now I need to decide schools..I live in OC and hopefully I won't have to go all the way to LA. Commuting would suck! I also found out that I won't be able to apply to Cerritos so I'm guessing I'll probably apply at Cypress since it's the next close college from home
