Okay guys I had my first interview at a big hospital in my area!!!Before I came the recruiter instructed me to bring a copy of my high school diploma and my cna certification card.I had to take a 15 min test and I had an interview. She told me how much I would get paid and I asked me what shift I would like to work.Overall I think the interview went good. She said I should here something from them in 2 weeks. It has been a week now.I also gave her references from my hiring manager, the administrator and a rn.I was told last week that they did call and ask for a reference for me at my current job.My question is guys what is the usual hiring process for a cna in a hospital. How long did it take for someone to get back to you.Any advice and tips would be great! Thanks in advance!!I am so nervous I really hope and pray that I get the position its better pay and better advancement.

At the hospital I currently work at they didn't call your references unless they were very serious about hiring you so it's definitely a good sign.
I really hope so.I did call the employment recruiter and she told me she forwarded my application to the med/surg unit.I just have to hope and pray the hiring manager on the floor gives me a call. One of the nursing manager told me that once they get the information from the recruiter that is when they give an applicant a call for a 2nd interview. It is their policy, there is nothing I can really do but wait because the recriter checked my references and forwarded my application I just have to find patience lol.Thank you guys so much for your input!!
