Hi was wondering if anyone knows of any hospital based nursing programs around michigan?? I am currently enrolled in community college however if I can find a hospital based nursing program I would much rather learn that way.I do understant that these types of nursing schools are rare these days but I thought It would be worth seeking out??;)

Specializes in Geriatrics, dementia, hospice.

As far as I know, most of the remaining hospital-based programs are located in the northeast (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York) and southeast (Virginia and Florida).

There is one in East Cleveland, Ohio: http://cchseast.org/HuronSchoolofNursing/tabid/1286/Default.aspx.

Hope this helps!

Just after I hit reply, I noticed that the Ohio school is closing its doors as of May 2011. Sorry!

Have you checked the MI BON website? I don't know about MI specifically, but I know that a lot of BONs list (on their website) all the approved schools in the state, and that list is often broken down by what kind of program it is (LPN, ADN, BSN, diploma, etc.) I would suggest that if you haven't done it already.

Specializes in Labor and Delivery.

Out of curiousity I checked the MI BON and it did break it down but I did not see any hospital based programs listed on there for registered nursing.

I got accepted into a hospital based RN program but it is down in Cincinatti Ohio. If you want any information on it let me know
