Hospital Based Nursing Programs

What is the difference between going through a Hospital Based Nursing Program or attending one at your CC? I am currently attending a CC and I will finish up my prereqs in May 2011 and I was hoping to get into their program in the fall of '11. However, I have a Hospital Based Nursing Program close by and they start their program twice a year so I could actually start Jan. '11 if I got accepted. So what's the difference? One thing I do know is it is a lot more stressful because it is ONLY two years....meaning in that two years you take your prereqs PLUS nursing courses. It would not be that bad for me because algera, AP1, psyc, College witting and chemistry will be transferable. The only prereqs that I would need when I started would be A&P 2 and Soc. Any input would be great! This program is also and Assoc. and not a diploma program.
