Holmes LPN program

I am really freaked out right about now I have been stressing trying to get into nursing programs for the fall and it is very overwhelming. I wanted to know what are my chances of getting into the nursing program with a 18 ACT score and a C gpa average.. I have also applied for the lpn program at Hinds and Co-Lin but my first choice is Holmes since it is closer to me and I have been hearing great things about the school.. Can someone PLEASE help me???

Hope all of you get in. I was in the Holmes program once before and it was quite tough. I had to withdraw. But if you work extra hard and put all stress aside it can be done. The program is very demanding and you don't need A and P for the LPN program.

What was ur score on the act and compass? Did u have previous medical experience?

my act was a 19, compass english-90, reading- 98, math-42 :) and you thought you had math problems . That was my third time applying and second time taking the compass test. Hinds is more promising in my opinion because they do have a waiting list but if you make the requirements you are eventually sure to get in according to what number you are on the list. but still stay focus and wait for the letter. Your scores were awesome so if you don't get in know it wasn't because you weren't good enough it would probably be because of space available. they only accepted 30 when I went and about 5 alternates. about 3 alternates did get in!!!!

That's great!!! I have a 19 also only things worrying me are my gpa and compass scores:-(

Well all you can do is hope, pray, and wait for that letter. I am very excited for you! Hope you get in!!!! Nursing school is really a commitment but it's wonderful as far the sense of belonging and learning

On the post earlier about the alternates do they accept 33 instead of 30 I'm confused..

Has anyone heard anything yet?

I haven't heard anything. I really don't expect anything until next week. I am getting more nervous as the days go by. I just want to know one way or another so I can stop worrying about it and move on.

Jg24 I was at least expecting something by the end of the week since they were saying we would know by the 8th.. I need to know in order to take off from work ahead of time before someone else takes off on that day.. Ugh this is so nerve wrecking!!

I know the feeling. I am not going to waste a vacation day if I am not accepted. Maybe we will hear something by the end of this week. I sure hope so.

So do I because Im about to go crazy!! Good luck!!! :)

Good luck to you too. I am not sure I will be able to open the envelope when I get it. I have had about all the rejection letters I can stand. It gets harder every time. I will let you know as soon as I get it.
