Hi everyone! I'm a new grad from MN and got an offer from Hillcrest in Tulsa. Just wondering what the reputation is and if Tulsa is a nice place to live.
Also what is the average pay for a new grad in OK?
Thanks! :)

I will tell you up front that I am just about to start nursing school so I can't tell you about Hillcrest from the RN stand point. I will tell you from a patient standpoint.
In the past I have always heard that St. Francis was the best and Hillcrest just didn't have that wonderful rep. My son had to have emergency surgery there in May. My husband and relatives were all worried, they thought he would get less than excellent care. Not True! I loved it. My son was treated wonderfully. The nurses and physicians were all so professional and good with him. The recovery nurses were excellent. I was really impressed.
He had to have surgery at another Tulsa hospital a month later and they were good. They were just fine, but Hillcrest was so much better.
That's my two cents there. From my perspective they are doing something right to have such great staff. I think we had the best surgeon as well.
I am interested in Hillcrest as a potential employer someday because they have a burn unit. Right now I am quite interested in burns.

I love living in Tulsa! I've lived here all of my life, though, so I am pretty biased:-). Its big, but not too big if that makes any sense. I feel its a good town to raise a family in (although I don't have children yet), but its probably not a great town if you like the "night life". I wish you luck!
Thanks for the responses, I am looking into it. I have read both good and bad things about Hillcrest, but I am having trouble finding work in MN so it may be my best option (also got offers in TX and AL but the location of the hospitals is horrible).
If anyone else has any ideas or information for me that would be lovely thanks! :)
