Highline College Spring 2021

Published

Hello everyone!

I just got accepted into the nursing program at Highline College for Spring 2021. I got accepted on my first try and I will start school in April. Yayyyyyy!! I'm very excited and a bit nervous at the same time. So I decide to start this thread to see if anyone is in the same boat as me as I'd like us to keep in contact and share our feelings and experiences together on this journey. Thank you. ?❤️

Hi,

Congratulations! Regular RN program or LPN to RN?

Hello,

Thanks for your congratulations! (^.^)It is an AAS RN two years program.

Congratulations!  Do you mind sharing what you scored on the TEAS and GPA?  Also, how are you liking the program so far?  Thank you ?

Specializes in Certified Medical Assistant.

How was nursing program going? I am planning to apply this month for the next acceptance. I'm reviewing for TEAS.

Hey fgr, my GPA was 4.0 and TEAS score was 80% when I applied. I liked the program so far. It was hard but the Highline instructors are great, and they really want to help you become a future successful nurse.

Hello nixiepixie, the program is great. Nursing school is def hard but if we work hard it will be worth it. Good luck with your journey. If you have questions let me know I am happy to provide what I know ?

Specializes in Emergency Department LPN.

Hi, and sorry to jump onto an old thread, but I am joining this year's cohort as an LPN and had a couple questions.

How much does the schedule change from quarter to quarter?

What is a typical schedule for Clinicals and do they usually keep to certain days?

I will be working 24 hours a week (2 12-hr shifts) and my management is very supportive of me going back to school. Any other concerns or scheduling things I should consider?

Thank you in advance!

Dani
