High School Student Looking For Answers

Published

I am currently a junior in high school, and I take Post-Secondary as well. I plan on attending college to become a Pediatric Nurse. Next year I will be a senior and will be going to college, and I was wondering if you could help me select some classes that will help me towards becoming a RN. Thanks.

Biology, Chemistry, and Math. Brutal I know, but its easier when you are young...

Specializes in Neuro/Med-Surg/Oncology.

A&P and Micro. Also, I would advise you to get your English/Sociology/Psychology requirements out of the way. These classes may not be hard, but they are labor intensive and it's a real drag to have a paper or project hanging over your head when you have to study for a big nursing exam. If your high school offers them AP, awesome. If they offer them, but as electives or if you have strong English and Psych skills; then I would CLEP them when you'r e done. It will save you money. I think the test and sitting fee are under $100 compared to three credits plus fees for each class. More importantly, it will save you TIME. Just my :twocents: !
