hi from Pinellas County

Hi I am an RN working in ltc in Pinellas County. I am originally from NJ. I was wondering what the salary for RNs in ltc is currently. Also, when I came down here I was told that ltc paid better than hospital nursing. Any other RNs in ltc from Pinellas?

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

Welcome to the site :balloons:

Specializes in Transplant, homecare, hospice.

I'm in Duval County (Northeast of you) and the pay here for nurses in the hospital(s) is about $21-25/hr. Plus shift diff and weekend pay. I'm not sure what the LTF's pay here. I started to apply for one when they said that they start RNs out at $20 and only $1.50 for shift diff and weekend pay. HUGE cut for me and declined the poisition.

Hope that helps.

From what I understand, RN's do better with pay at the hospitals and LPN's do better in LTC. (But I could be wrong as I'm not a working nurse yet.)
