HHC in JAX, FL

HI,

I am interested in going into home health. I have an interview with brooks rehab in Jax, FL and was wondering if anyone has some info about working with the company ? I have never worked home health only telemetry for 3 yrs. I want to do case management and believe this is a change in the right direction. Thanks !!

    I didn't work for them but when I lived in the area many of the patients I cared for that needed rehab went there. Brooks had an excellent reputation then. I miss living in the area :( Good luck and give it a try!

    Brooks is a major player in the home care market in Jax, one of the top three in terms of census. They are HUGE, which brings with it all the benefits and risks that a large agency has--little personal treatment, you're just a number, training is geared for the masses not the individual, pay rates are standardized so the same pay even if you're a superstar or a superflop. On the plus side, I've never heard even a whisper of Medicare fraud related to Brooks and they do have an aggressive marketing strategy to ensure that they will always have a large census.
