I've heard that most HHA's will have to do some cooking for their clients. Is there usually instructions on how to prepare their meals? I can't cook and I'm about to apply at an agency but I'm worried about the cooking part.

I have told both employers and clients that I don't handle much more than heating things in a microwave and it has been no problem. I would imagine if the client needed someone badly enough, the family would show you how to prepare some of the client's favorite foods.

Dont worry, its mostly simple stuff. microwave meals, sandwiches soups, sometimes just reheating leftovers.... If your not sure on what they should eat just ask! It should be on their plan of care sheet if they cant have anything.
