HFCC waitlist, when will you get in?

For those of you on the waitlist....

Have you received your letter?

Do you know when you are expected to?

What if you don't get in when you expect to?

Have you applied to other colleges just in case?

I guess the reason for all my questions is, after this spring semester I'll have absolutely no more classes to take. I'll just be waiting on the letter. I hate to waste precious time not knowing when it will come. I really want to attend HFCC but maybe I should seek out my other options.

Have you tried calling Anna in the nursing office? When I did, she let me know when I could expect to get my letter and she was right.

I hope you get in this Fall.

Good luck!

I have to be honest, I did and she wasn't very nice. People had said that she was like the wizard of oz and had all the answers and I just didn't think she was very nice or informative. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, who knows.

I think I'm just freaking:no: because originally way back when... I was told I would be in winter 09. I can accept that, I'd much rather start this fall but whatever, right? When I talked to Anna, she said she didn't see fall in the cards and she couldn't even promise me winter. Only 60 people are accepted and people who had postponed previously had first dibs. I'm done with all my classes as of June 19th, wth will I do if I don't get called for winter now?:banghead: I think being laid off last week is adding to the frustration. I'm eligible for no worker left behind now due to the layoff and they will pay for 2 years of college but unemployment is only good for 6 months, 12 max if they approve your extension. If I'm not in by winter, I'm screwed.:crying2:

Sorry and thanks for listening:redbeathe.

I'm so sorry. That would be disheartening.

You're right. Anna did seem to barely tolerate me when I called as well. I imagine she gets a lot of calls like ours.

Have you considered getting a job with Henry Ford Hospital? That could move you to the front so that you're available for their own nursing program. This year that had so many openings that they offered spots to HFCC students. That could help you move to the front and have employment as well.

Good luck with everything.

Girlfriend... I have applied for so many positions and have heard nothing. I have a friend who works there and she just started the program on the 5th:) She keeps telling me to fill out apps and I do but it hasn't done me any good yet. I don't know if it's the lack of experience that's hurting me or just the fact that so many people are looking for work.

Bummer. I hope something good turns up soon.
