HFCC Fall 2020

I am. I was supposed to retake the grammar portion of the HESI on April 11th, so the waiver seemed like it would help me out. Although, I'm not sure because I think it might drastically increase the amount of applicants and make it even harder. I've heard that there are a lot of students not originally from HFC that will be applying because of the waiver, so I'm nervous! We will get bonus points for HFCC earned credits, but hopefullyit's enough.

I was planning on taking the HESI, never took it before and I got so excited when I heard it was waived but then reality set in and I was like this just means more people will be apply so I’m extremely nervous now. I’m just praying I get in because this is the only school I have in mind really. Earlier this year I went by Schoolcraft College to find out about their program and I have all the class, I would just need to take the TEAS test but my only problem is that they have a 2 year waitlist. Fingers crossed that we both get in. I sent in my application already.

I also have HFCC credits. I was supposed to take the HESI test in April. Is your GPA High?

It’s not as high as I would have wanted it to be because I have a C in psy 131. Now I’m a little nervous that I didn’t retake it with all the applications they will be receiving but I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. All my credits are from HFCC as well. Keep me posted! And I will do the same, I wish the deadline wasn’t that far away.

I don’t have any other degree or a certification. I feel like I don’t have enough points:( I guess if I don’t get in, I will apply to Chamberlain

Seems like we are in a similar situation but let’s hope for the best. With them waiving the HESI exam I just feel like their will be way more applicants. I’ve never really checked into Chamerberlain. What’s the process for them?

You don’t need pre reqs to get in, just the HESI and it’s a 3 year program. But if you are a transfer student and have some classes done like micro Or anatomy then you can finish faster. I heard they are not doing the HESI either

Really! Good to know, I will check them out. Thanks. Whenever you hear anything from HFCC let me know, the wait is killing me.

I wonder why they extended the application deadline until July 15. Thats so long to wait. Maybe not a lot of people are applying

Initially I believe the extended because we weren’t able to go and do the HESI exam but then they got rid of it for this semester so I’m really not sure why it’s such an extended deadline because its not like people could complete Summer classes and be able to add it. I’m sure they have their reasons, just wish I knew. Have you looked into any other schools?

I checked into Chamberlain and I applied there as well!

I want to apply too. I just called them and asked about the HESI exam and they said we can take it online ? but I still hope I will get in Henry Ford
