I am new to this site and I am really enjoying it also gaining lots of valuable info. My problem is , I can't seem to find anyone that has recently taken the hesitest or has any info on same. I desperately need to know what type of material it consists of, because i need to pass that test. have a great GPA , but am very worried about this entrance test. Please fill me in anyone, so i can start my studying and stop worrying.

I dont know which state you are in or if the test is the same one i took but am in TX and the HesiA2 is a requirement for the school i wanted. IT had a few sections. I pretty much studied the study guide and then some A&P and i did well. Bt then i dont know if this applies to you or if it is the same exam.(i would assume it is!)

:yeah:Thanks for replying, I am in Washington dc and it is the hesiA2, like you mentioned. so tell me how was it and what would be your recommendations for preparations. i really need to pass this , because our school has high expectations, what areas were you tested in? Reall appreciate you assistance. god bless.

anxiously awaiting a reply.

well my school required as to take five sections, math, grammar, reading comprehension, a&p, vocab/general knowledge. it again depends on your school. the math and grammar are basically what you did in high school and in intro math and eng classes. the a&p section was a little tough for me because i had not done a&p2 but i still passed so it was ok. i would advice getting a study guide because it gives a really good idea of what to expect especially the vocab questions. it was not too expensive maybe like $27 for the guide. it also depends on if your school uses the average of all scores or need just one section. oh and you get your score as soon as you finish each section. try searching the thread for the same topic because i know its been discussed before!!

I appreciate your assistance, where can i purchase the study guide is it a actual book?

Hey, well I actually just passed my HESI test today. I had to take the Chemistry, Biology, Math, Reading Comprehension, A&P, Vocabulary, and Grammar sections (i.e. all of them). I didn't even use a study guide, and I passed it on my very first try. Please don't worry too much about it, it seems daunting and intimidating before you take it, but if you stress about it too much, it will end up causing you to make stupid mistakes on very easy questions. Make sure you review some basic skills in every section, just in case you have to take all 7 sections. Make sure you don't think too hard into any of the questions on the actual test either. It helps to be calm and trust your first instincts if you don't know the answer to a question.

Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes on your HESI test!!:nurse::up::specs:
