Hesi

Hi all,

I have quick and easy question if you took the HESI as your exit exam. Was it similar to the cd-study guide they have for students or was it much more harder?

thanks

I have not taken the exit HESI but we do take it after each nsg class. The ones I have taken so far are of course only over 1 subject at a time but, I think it is like the practice NCLEX questions. It is the nsg process with questions pertant to these areas.Who to see 1st/what to do/math/documentation/med amin/cardio/respiratory/sensory/neuro/GI/hepatic. Hope this helps you.CRB

I think the HESI was similar to the practice CD, although there were some types of questions on the actual HESI that weren't on the disc.... like disaster situations, prioritizing, ect. I found it harder than the individual HESI that we take after each class, but not all that bad. 85% of our class passed on the first try! Good luck to you!

Our school changed from Medspub to Hesi just a few weeks ago. 95% of our class could NOT pass Medspub, switching to HESI has been great. I had the CD's one day prior to taking the exit HESI exam. Did okay on the fund. part, but failed most other sections. I was extremely worried that I wouldnt pass. Walked in, took 160 exit test and made 891, we had to make 850. Most of our class ended up passing, which is nice b/c we are a few weeks form graduation so I believe the exit test is much easier.

Hey what cd's? Did your school furnish them or did you buy them on your own?? I noticed another Texas poster spoke of a cd also. We aren't given any study materials & are told you either know it or you don't. We are allowed to pass with a score of 850 on the semester HESI but 900 or > in all areas is recommended. I don't know what score we have to have on the exit HESI. I do know you are not allowed to take the NCLEX until your scores indicate you have a good chance of passing it.

You have to buy the cd. you can locate their website through google.com

The cd is very tough but some of my classmates have taken already and they say it's not that bad. Our school wants a 900 score. Anyway...

Thanks for your replies guys.

my question is we are about to take our final for nursing 1, and i bought the HESI edition 3 and i am studying the fundamentals part because i am in nursing 1, so is the questions from the HESI edition 3 fundamentals the same as our final?...i am not talking about the NCLEX FINAL EXAM that your supposed to take when your done with all the classes
