HESI

Published

Hello Everyone,

After months, and months of looking for a good reputable school, I think I finally found one. A couple of weeks ago I called Chamberlain (Miramar campus) and met with one of the advisors there. I love the campus, I really do see myself being there, I love the lab settings I really do think that this is it. But first I need to get into the program. Currently I have a 2.7-3.0 GPA it's been a while since I checked, I know I have to take the HESI but math, chem and A&P is really freaking me out. Any advice on how to get ready for the exam? was it really hard? what do I focus on the most? I mean any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

If you have the study guide you can utilize that as a source of reference and quizlet.com. When I took it my nerves got the best of me, and I didn't do as well as I know I can. The book, especially the 3rd addition helped; and know your conversions! The book did not prepare me for what I encountered when I took that exam.

Regarding Chamberlain, did they explain to you of your options on how you are able to finance your education? Because this school is very expensive.

Hi! I'm also looking at Chamberlain (Phoenix) and I think it's the right for me as well. I have the same fears you do about the Math, Chem and A&P. Right know I'm studying for the HESI and I'm freaking out because I suck at math. If you don't mind me asking how much is the program where you live? I think we will be fine as long as we good in confident and know this is what we really want... Good luck with everything!!!

@Juliansmom2011_ Thank you and yes that school is expensive, they told me its going to be about 85k. I try not to think about how much it's going to cost all together, cause if I do I will back out of it :) so are you at Chamberlain now, or are you looking at other options ?

@Amazing81_ I don't think that your fears of math & chem are as bad as mine :) with math it's not that I don't understand it, it's just that I can't retain it. Chem and A&P that's another story, but because this is something that I want so bad I'm willing to suck it up and do what I gotta do to get in but hunny smh... Anyway to answer your question, I am in Florida there's a campus in Miramar I went there they told me its going to be about 85k.

@ Jewel5050: I decided to go with Brookline College for my Bachelors and then get my Masters. They have a really good program and its nationally accredited, which is a great thing. The program is only 27 months and I can't wait to get started. How is everything going with you?

@Amazing81: Good luck with everything hunny, I hope everything works out for you. As for me, I'm still thinking about Chamberlain, I am currently doing a little review before taking the HESI, I hope to take it in July the latest. I'll keep you posted, by the way I'm in FL, where are you again?
