Hesi a2

I took the HESI A2 admissions test on Tuesday and got my test results in the mail today. I PASSED! I am so relieved. Got a 96.81% overall score! Yayyyyyyy!!! One step closer.

I've got to admit something. I felt like I wanted to barf when I walked out of the test. I felt like I aced every section but one. The nursing school says you must pass each section by 75% or better or it's a fail. Believe it or not, I was stressing the Reading Comprehension section.

The Reading Comprehension section was nothing like the test prep material examples. The passages were vague and the answers all seemed similar. I was narrowing the selection down to two choices, so I guess I had a 50/50 shot. But I was nervous about it. I was afraid I would pass all the hard stuff and then get like a 74 in the reading comprehension and feel like a complete idiot for not passing.

I'm so glad it's over. One step closer. Yippie!

By the way, I got a 100 on the Math section!

congrats! i have to take the hesi admissions test later this year and i am already nervous!

Hi congrats in your test! I have to take the Hesi too and I would like to know if the test is similar to the Hesi study guide. Is the vocabulary hard? or is taken from the study guide?. About A&P is hard or the questions are taken from the study guide as well. Thanks

Congrats! I just took mine today, and passed with a 98 on all sections.

I agree with you on the reading comprehension. It was POORLY written. I found 2 punctuation mistakes and a mispelled word. Come ON! There were 2 questions I took issue with, as I thought either there was not a good answer given, or there were two answers that were equally correct. I think that section is just poorly done, frankly.

Congrats! you did excellent. I am pretty sure you will not have any problems to get in. I just applied and I will know by April if I am in or not. I wish you luck!:yeah:

That is FANTASTIC!! I took it in October and earned 92 overall. I know you feel relieved-you are on your way!!:yeah:

Does anyone knows of a good study guide? there are a million out there and I am not sure where to start ffrom??? HELP!!!! Please :)

I have the Evolve from Mosby for the Hesi test. I have to say that it is excellent for math. In the test there are some words from the vocabulary part, it is not so good for anatomy. You have to study with another book because is too basic. The reading part is easy in comparison of what you find in the test, that part is weird some times you do not find the answer. I do not think you will have problems with grammar. Let me know if I can help you.

Oh, Thank you so much, for the school I am applying to, they required all six areas of the HESI A2 test... and I don't even know where to start...lol, so I guess I will start with that study guide, Once again Thanks!!!
