hesi help

yup I am another BSN nursing student caught in the struggle of passing hesi in order to graduate from school. I still don't like the idea of having this test hold you accountable to obtaining your degree and sitting for NCLEX but nowadays what can you do or say.

I am taking version 5 of the HESI and would like any input or advice for anyone who has taken this version. we need a 850 to pass. I have passed the assessment one they gave us but it doesn't count. this is my last shot to pass or its the end of a long journey.

This is just advice I can give you. Depending on when you have to take the exam. I would say do questions, get a HESI review book. Study a certain amount of chapters each day and do questions to test how well you understand the material. You can try the allnurses study guide which I have available in my nclex post. I wish you luck and hope my advice at least gave you a good direction on how to begin studying

thanks my exam is in another month. At this point I have been doing the hesi remediation after you take your exam on evolve. Been reviewing the saunders book, reading hesi hints, and doing practice questions hopefully it should be enough.

don't forget to memorize lab values, and you got this. a month of studying should help you pass the HESI with the right way or ways to organize the studying time each day

I am, too. I find it despicable that the first one does not count!

What can I do in order to pass hesi ,, I already did yourbestgrade, read the hesi book .. Is there something else please that it can help me up .. Thanks

@moniquya I'm no expert and have not tried yourbestgrade, but since its a third party source its not directly from evolve. Only thing I know is it has questions and rationales like the hesi. I just know as long as you do practice questions from saunders and read the rationales to understand why the answer was right and how to determine what the question is asking you will be able to do good. If you have access to evolve case studies they help because there questions are random and out of the ordinary just like hesi but they help you in thinking how to take the test. its important to read rationales though because it gives you more information. if using the hesi book I think the hesi hints is the only helpful thing in that book other than that the information there are like cliff notes and are useful.

in the end you won't know how to study or be really prepared you just have to feel confident in learning test taking strategies and know to how to rule out the most obvious answers.
