So, I'm taking my LPN boards this time after failing my NCLEX-RN last year.Figured any license to practice would be better than none. It was devastating to hear your classmates brag about how easy the RN exam was & how great they're doing now w/ new their jobs while you on the other hand didn't even make it. So after failing that, I went into panic mode, bought all the books saunders, exam cram, lippincott, prentice hall compre etc... Got a total of 12 NCLEX compre books, read 2 out of the 12.I'm totally freaking out! So, I have 23 days left 'til my NCLEX-PN exam and I'm not even prepared.

sanie - you may be over-working your brain. i used saunders pn and did every one of the 3500+ questions on the "bonus cd" that came with the book.
i did 200 questions/d over a 2-3 wk period last year. i bookmarked the ones i missed and studied the rationales and strategies.
i also memorized lab values, the different kinds of isolations, priorities, major drugs, and a few other things. the content in the questions gave me an excellent basis for taking the lpn test.
How was your exam? Yeah, I agree, I kinda sound crazy. It's just been really tough lately. I just need this bad. Anyways, thank you for the advice ^_^ I will surely keep that in mind.

just want to wish you good luck sanie! i know a couple of people who failed the nclex-rn and successfully passed the nclex-pn. they said the pn was easier. i hope you have the same experience. when you pass the nclex-pn, try to take the nclex-rn again as soon as you can so you won't settle with the lpn.
try not to use too many study materials because you don't want to overwhelm your brain. it is better to do lots of nclex style questions than to read all those books that you purchased.
again, i wish you luck!
Yeah, I do feel very much overwhelmed. And, its hard when people around you doesn't understand what you're going through.I graduated in the Philippines in 2007. A month after graduation we,me & my classmates were housed together to review for our Philippine boards. We took it at the same time. That was great! We have each other to keep us motivated. I practiced as an RN there. Moved to the US in 2009. Took me 5 yrs to get back into studying again. But now, its different. You don't have that support system anymore. You're pretty much on your own. But I'm glad I have you guys to talk to about stuff like this.
Thanks agldragonRN ^_^ ! That really means alot to me! And, I love your photo. It kinda reminds me of our Philippine flag-blue,red & yellow w/ 3 stars.

Remember that when you take the NCLEX-PN, you need to approach the questions from the LPN scope of practice.
Good luck with the test!
I will. Thanks Meriwhen! I appreciate it ^_^
