in my hesi book it says for hemophilia.... 'blood precatuions' risk for hepatitis.

why is it risk for hepatitis?

    Because hemophiliacs get excessive amounts of blood products infused, thus are at higher risk for acquiringblood bourne diseases.

    Especially if dealing with someone who was treated prior to 1985, when blood began to be screened for bloodbourne disease.
