Help! What are my options?

Greetings everyone. I am in a very tough situation. I recently decided not to return to a nursing program in Nevada. Let's just say the program isn't what people think it is. I knew what was expect and that it wasn't going to be easy, but I was told there was going to be resources to help us succeed. It was hard but I did the work for the brief time I was there but there were alot of issues with administration, teachers, and drama. We started of with 49 in the ABSN cohort and it's down to 28 to 30. In less than a month. All of us agree that if we knew the what we know about the program now, NONE of us would have gone. Some very good people made the move and effort to move and the resources are not there to help anyone succeed. They'll let you in, make your study your butt off, then drop you like a bad habit of you don't meet their 90% pass or fail.

So, I broke my mothers heart and wasted a lot of money, but I made a decision to not go back to a program that is irresponsible and careless about the students. They do not help students get the 90% needed to pass. It's unbelievable, they have a a regular 18 month BSN program and only about a third are able to sit for the NCLEX.

What do I do now? Of course I'll work to pay my parents back, and most likely to to a Red Cross CNA training program. my grades are ok but not competitive not to get into adn programs that are merit based. I am not looking for an easy way into nursing, but more of a visible path. Possibly ROP lvn courses? Maybe lvn programs at a So Cal CC. Or am I destined to take pre-recs forever and never be a nurse?

I desperately want to be a nurse. Not cuz of the money, because I want to help people. I want to be given a patient and do whatever work is necessary to return that patient back to his or her life.

Any advice and help is appreciated.
