Help! Trying to apply for RN Program in Florida schools

I am wrapping up my science prereqs to obtain an A.S. in Nursing (RN). My goal is to become an RN. I am currently attending MDC in Miami, FL. Does anyone have any tips on the TEAS test (which I have not yet taken), and where to apply (any other good, reputable, accredited schools other than MDC?) I don't want to put all my hopes on MDC - my goal is get admitted but if they refuse me I want to be able to apply to different schools. Also, since I will have my AS in Nursing this fall, does that mean that the RN coursework will only take me 12 - 18 months? I heard that it would be an additional 2 years from the time an AS is obtained. Is this accurate? Any ways to fastrack my way through school and obtain my RN license faster?

Completing the pre-reqs for the ADN does not give you an AS in Nursing, you get the AS in Nursing once you've completed the RN courses. The RN program is 4 semesters long assuming that you go full-time.

Here's the link to MDC's admission requirements to the RN program:

and here's the link to MDC's RN curriculum
